Would You Attend the History Through Fiction Conference Virtually? Let Us Know!

As you may have heard, History Through Fiction is hosting our first-ever conference on March 28–29, 2026, at the beautiful Wylie Center & Tupper Manor at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. We’ve already received a bunch of positive feedback and interest after announcing the conference back in June. We’ve received so much interest, that we’re now exploring the possibility of providing a virtual option!

History Through Fiction is a small but growing press with a motivated and engaged community of historical fiction writers and readers. As we continue to grow, we want to take things step by step, ensuring we never lose the strong and meaningful connections we’ve established with our audience. That’s why we’re reaching out to you now. In order to keep our costs down, our first-ever in-person conference is limited to sixty attendees. These attendees will get access to all of the amazing content we’ve put together, including:

  • Keynote Speaker: Finola Austin, author of Brontë’s Mistress

  • Bestselling guests: Sarah Penner, Madeline Martin, Addison Armstrong

  • HTF authors and editors from around the world

  • Virtual guest presentations from Marthese Fenech, Georgie Blalock, Edwina Kiernan

  • Agent pitch sessions with top literary agents like Kate McKean, Annie Bomke, and Rachel McMillan

Before we invest in the audio/visual equipment and virtual platform to make the conference accessible and enjoyable to a virtual audience, we want to know: Would you attend the History Through Fiction Conference virtually?

Here’s what we’re envisioning for virtual attendees:

  • Live access to all main conference sessions via Zoom Webinar

  • Recordings of all sessions for later viewing (via private YouTube link)

  • Access to our exclusive attendee Facebook Group for networking

  • Collaborative whiteboards (via Canva) to share ideas and resources

  • Optional add-on pre-conference workshops for small-group learning

We’re aiming to keep this as simple and accessible as possible—one clear registration level that delivers excellent value to attendees anywhere in the world.
