Guided by author, historian, and HTF founder Colin Mustful, this four-week series explores the craft of historical fiction, combining writing exercises, live Q&As with HTF authors, and optional publishing guidance.

HTF Writers’ Mentorship

A six-month small-group program for writers committed to finishing, revising, and preparing their historical fiction for publication.

Format: One 2-hour Zoom session per month, April - September, 2nd Saturday, 10am - 12pm Central

What You’ll Receive:

  • 6 live, two-hour Zoom sessions with Colin Mustful

  • 6 personalized rounds of feedback on your 20-page monthly submission (120 pages total)

  • Focused group discussions based on the needs of the majority of participants

  • Ongoing peer support and accountability

  • Recordings of all teaching sessions for review

  • Clear goals and progress tracking over six months

How It Works:
Each month, submit up to 20 pages for pre-session review by Colin. During the live session, the group will discuss submissions, address common challenges, and explore craft or publishing lessons. The program emphasizes constructive feedback, community, and motivation—so you keep writing and refining your historical fiction project.
