Remote Publishing Internship

Spring 2026

Accepting Applications Monday, November 10 – Wednesday, November 26

History Through Fiction is an independent press dedicated to publishing historically rich, story-driven fiction. We believe that the past offers powerful lessons and inspiration for contemporary readers—and that publishing should be collaborative, purposeful, and artful.

This remote internship offers a behind-the-scenes look at how an innovative small press operates. Interns gain hands-on experience in editing, marketing, design, and author relations while learning how a book goes from manuscript to publication. You’ll work directly with founder and editor Colin Mustful, participate in regular video meetings, and receive personalized mentorship designed to prepare you for a career in publishing.

Time Commitment: 5–15 hours per week
Stipend: $250
