As part of the 2026 History Through Fiction Conference, we invite the public to attend a special Historical Fiction Book Signing & Meet-the-Authors Event featuring more than a dozen historical fiction authors. This relaxed, reader-friendly gathering is open to everyone—no conference registration required.

Whether you’re an avid historical fiction reader, a supporter of independent authors, or simply looking for a meaningful literary event on the North Shore, this is a chance to discover new books, speak directly with authors, and take home signed copies.

Participating Authors

  • Jeanine Boulay

    Jeanine Boulay writes fiction that explores connections across time and place and is the author of What Keeps Us. Her short story “Mrs. Price” appears in the History Through Fiction anthology An End of Troubles, and she is currently working on a novel set at the historic Fernside estate in Massachusetts.

  • Jill George

    Jill George, Ph.D. is a historical novelist and researcher specializing in Victorian-era London and Cornwall whose work rebalances history by centering women’s achievements. She is the author of the American Fiction Award finalist Illuminating Darwin: Arabella’s Light and The Light Among Us: The Elizabeth Carne Story, and her forthcoming novel Everyone Her Own Tale continues the Hopeless Dawn series.

  • Lisa A. Olech

    Lisa A. Olech is the author of ten romance novels spanning contemporary and historical fiction, known for witty dialogue and adventurous, unforgettable characters. A 2018 RITA Award nominee for Within a Captain’s Soul, she has won multiple writing contests and achieved Amazon Best Seller status with her debut novel.

  • Janis Robinson Daly

    Janis R. Daly is an award-winning historical novelist whose work centers on women’s medical and social history in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Her novels The Unlocked Path and The Path Beneath Her Feet were #1 Amazon New Releases in U.S. History and have received honors from the New England Book Festival, Chanticleer International Book Awards, and other national organizations.

  • Cynthia Reeves

    Cynthia Reeves is the author of The Last Whaler (2024) and Falling Through the New World (2024), whose fiction explores overlooked histories through the lives of ordinary people shaped by war, migration, and moral reckoning. Her work has been supported by residencies with the Arctic Circle, Hawthornden Castle, and Vermont Studio Center, and she lives in Camden, Maine.

  • Lindsey S. Fera

    Lindsey S. Fera is a born and bred New Englander, hailing from the North Shore of Boston. As a member of the Topsfield Historical Society and the Historical Novel Society, she forged her love for writing with her intrigue for colonial America by writing her debut novel, Muskets & Minuets, a planned trilogy. When she’s not attending historical reenactments or spouting off facts about Boston, she’s nursing patients back to health. Muskets & Masquerades is her sophomore novel.

  • Jeanean Doherty

    Jeanean Doherty is a historical novelist whose work grew from a lifelong love of reading and a deep interest in family history. Her debut novel, Mixed Blood (2025), was inspired by the story of a Cherokee woman in her ancestry and marks the fulfillment of a long-held dream to bring overlooked lives from the past to the page.

  • Terri Lewis

    Terri Lewis is a former professional ballet dancer whose fiction draws on discipline, perseverance, and a deep engagement with the creative process. After a career that included performances in Denver and Germany, she turned to writing and has studied at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and in workshops with Rebecca Makkai, Jill McCorkle, and Laura van den Berg.

  • J. E. Weiner

    J. E. Weiner is a novelist and writer based in Northern California. Her debut novel, The Wretched and Undone (HTF Publishing, 2025), a Southern Gothic set in the Texas Hill Country, follows work previously published in literary journals including Madcap Review, Five Minutes, HerStry, and the anthology Red-Headed Writing (2024).

  • Brynn Barineau

    Brynn Barineau is a novelist and lifelong reader whose experiences living in Brazil inspired her debut novel, Jaguars and Other Game (2022). Her forthcoming novel, Jungle of Ashes (History Through Fiction, 2026), continues to explore the landscapes, culture, and stories of Brazil for young adult and adult readers.

  • E. Jax Willoughby

    E. Jax Willoughby is a writer whose work reflects a lifelong passion for storytelling, honed at Interlochen Arts Academy before a career in academic medicine. When not writing, they can be found working with clay in the pottery barn or exploring trails with their spouse and spirited noodle-dog.

  • Jillian Forsberg

    Jillian Forsberg is a historian and novelist whose work brings overlooked lives and hidden histories of 18th-century Europe to vivid life. Her award-winning debut, The Rhino Keeper, was followed by her second novel, The Porcelain Menagerie.

  • Alina Adams

    Alina Adams is a New York Times–bestselling author whose work spans historical fiction, mysteries, romance, and media tie-ins. Her historical novels include The Nesting Dolls (HarperCollins) and My Mother’s Secret and Go On Pretending, both published by History Through Fiction.

About the Conference

Join us for the History Through Fiction Conference, a unique gathering of writers, editors, and history enthusiasts, taking place March 28–29, 2026, at the beautiful Wylie Center & Tupper Manor at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. Hosted by History Through Fiction, this conference coincides with the United States Semiquincentennial and embraces the theme “A Writing Revolution.”

The Wylie Center & Tupper Manor offers a historic yet modern estate, featuring a mansion, fountain, and scenic golf course, surrounded by the beauty of New England’s North Shore. Its blend of tradition and innovation creates the perfect setting to explore storytelling, collaboration, and creativity.
