Expanding Access: The Rhino Keeper Audiobook Goes Wide + A Special Ebook Promotion

At History Through Fiction, one of our guiding principles is access—connecting immersive, well-researched historical fiction with readers wherever they are, and in the formats they prefer. Today, I’m excited to share two related updates that reflect that commitment.

The Rhino Keeper Audiobook Is Now Available Beyond Amazon

The audiobook edition of The Rhino Keeper the award-winning debut novel about Clara the Rhino by author and historian Jillian Forsberg is no longer exclusive to Amazon ACX. It has officially moved into expanded distribution, making it available through platforms that support independent booksellers and libraries.

You can now find the audiobook on:

Soon, it will also be available through OverDrive, which powers the popular Libby App, making it even easier for library patrons to borrow and enjoy the audiobook.

This shift means readers can support indie booksellers, and librarians can more easily add The Rhino Keeper to their collections. If you rely on your local library, we encourage you to request that they carry the audiobook. If you purchase audiobooks, Libro.fm is a wonderful way to listen while supporting independent bookstores.

This availability is especially important for a novel like The Rhino Keeper, which has found enthusiastic readers among book clubs, history lovers, and library communities.

Limited-Time Ebook Promotion: The Porcelain Menagerie for $2.99

To make the day even better, we’re also running a BookBub promotion for Jillian Forsberg’s most recent novel, The Porcelain Menagerie.

For a limited time, through the end of the year, the ebook edition is available for $2.99 across retail channels, including Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F9LPSFRB

If you’re new to Jillian’s work, this is a perfect entry point. If you loved The Rhino Keeper, The Porcelain Menagerie offers another richly textured historical narrative grounded in careful research and emotional depth.

Supporting Readers, Libraries, and Indie Booksellers

Taken together, these two updates reflect what we value most at History Through Fiction: great storytelling, thoughtful publishing decisions, and meeting readers where they are—whether that’s through their library, a local bookstore, or an ebook deal that makes discovery easier.

Thank you, as always, for supporting our authors and for helping historical fiction reach the widest possible audience.
